Ten years ago the taste at the time was the same as now but much colder then. They are sweet if you leave them in the kitchen bench for a month but still a bit after taste of tangy so I am not sure if because of not enough water or not enough heat. Still I pick about 100 fruits per year and due to water restriction those fruits used to have the size of a rock melon but no water (just rain water) and they are now the size of normal grapefruit. Very productive tree that I have to thin them out in early stage of fruit development. I have a 10 years old pumelo, white variety bought in Garden World and 5 meter tall now.
